Resident
stays may be paid for by a number of methods.
Medicare
– will pay for residents if they have a 3-day hospital
stay and a qualifying skilled care need related to the
hospitalization. Please review your eligibility for
services
Long Term
Care Insurance – will pay for residents based on
the terms set forth in the residents policy.
Veterans
- will pay a short-term contract for nursing home care
if the resident meets the Veterans Administration qualifications.
Please contact them to discuss any benefits to which
you might be entitled.
Private
– residents who do not meet Medicare eligibility, Veterans
eligibility, and do not have Long Term Care Insurance
will need to pay for services based on their own savings
and assets.
West Virginia
Medical Assistance – residents who cannot afford
to pay out of pocket may be entitled to assistance if
they meet the eligibility requirements. Please contact
your local state Department of Health and Human Resources.
